Privacy policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Below the Sill handles when you visit the website or email us. We keep it short because we collect very little: there are no accounts, no forms, no newsletters and no analytics on this site, and no advertising yet.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Estefanía André Feijóo, who owns and runs this website. Contact: contact@belowthesill.com. Full details are in the legal notice.

When you visit the site

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser’s user agent. We don’t use this data to identify you or build a profile. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Cloudflare acts as our service provider; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Our fonts are stored on our own server, so loading a page doesn’t send your data to a font service. The calculators and checklists run entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is stored or sent to us.

When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever you write. We use it only to read and answer your message. The legal basis is your request. Emails reach us through Cloudflare’s email routing and are kept in our email provider’s mailbox. We keep messages for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, and then delete them.

Who else sees your data

We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone except the service providers that host the site and handle our email, and only for those purposes. Some of these providers may process data in the United States; they use safeguards recognized under European law, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with similar laws, you can ask us for access to your personal data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Email contact@belowthesill.com. If you think we haven’t handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or to the authority where you live. If you live in a U.S. state with its own privacy law, you can use the same email address for any request under that law.

Children

This website is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we start using a new service that handles personal data, such as advertising, we’ll update this page before it goes live and change the date at the top.
